    Academic Quadrathlon

    A team of four undergraduate students draw on their knowledge and experience with no formal practice to compete locally, regionally, and nationally. Events include laboratory practicum, written exam, oral presentation, and quiz bowl.

    Dairy Challenge Team

    The North American Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge (NAIDC) is an innovative competition for students representing dairy science programs at North American universities. Its mission is to facilitate education, communication and an exchange of ideas among students, agribusiness, dairy producers and universities that enhances the development of the dairy industry and its leaders.

    One of the oldest teams on campus and still as relevant as 100 years ago. Develop your problem analysis and solving skills, learn to make decisions with logic and confidence, improve teamwork, self-discipline, and communication skills. National Champions: 2022, 2013, 2009, 2008, 2006!

    Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association Hunter Riding Team , redirect

    Students take lessons on different Virginia Tech horses and work on the flat and/or over fences to improve their equitation. Enrollment in an equitation class (in the School of Animal Sciences) and membership in good standing with both IHSA and the Virginia Tech Equestrian Club are required to compete.

    Hosted by the Block & Bridle Club, the Little International is open to all Virginia Tech students. Come learn to show beef cattle, sheep, horses, and/or swine.

    The VT Western Team is open to all levels of riders, no previous experience necessary. Our wonderful group of team horses provides students with riding opportunities in various levels of western horsemanship, ranch riding, and reining. Team members also show through the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association and compete against other colleges in our region.
