Research Faculty Spotlight: Sally Johnson , articleResearch from the Johnson Lab focuses on how muscles repair and recover after intense exercise. They study a type of muscle stem cell, known as satellite cells, that helps rebuild damaged muscle tissue. They examine how these cells are activated and how their activity can be improved, including through nutrition and key biological signals.
