Abby Greenwood

Abby Greenwood
Degree: Dairy Science
Hometown: Ocean City, Maryland
After graduation:
I participated in the Dairy Science 3+1 program, so I am starting veterinary school at Virginia-Maryland in the fall as a member of the class of 2029.
I was a member of:
Dairy Club as vice president and Alpha Zeta as chancellor.
I also worked with:
the VT Dairy Judging B team in fall 2023 and was CALS ambassador, as well as a SAS ambassador.
Undergraduate research I have participated in:
I took milk samples and did basic animal husbandry at the Kentland Metabolic Research Laboratory.
My biggest achievement is:
getting accepted into veterinary school!
My favorite VT memory:
is everything dairy club related! This club made me lifelong friends, and now I can’t cross campus without seeing someone I know.
Some music that defines my time at Virginia Tech:
Good Riddance by Green Day and You’re Gonna Go Far by Noah Kahn
The thing I am most excited for in the future is:
attending veterinary school and becoming a doctor!
My advice to incoming freshman is:
don’t let your classes get in the way of your education. I was told this as a freshman and really took it to heart. Your grades are important but there is also so much to learn about yourself.
