Dr. Rodrigo Marques is an Assistant Professor in the School of Animal Sciences at Virginia Tech. Dr. Marques received a B.S. in Animal Sciences from São Paulo State University (2008), a M.S. (2011) in Animal Science from the University of São Paulo - Esalq/USP, a Ph.D. at Oregon State University (2017), and Post Doctorate at EOARC-Burns (2018). Before Virginia Tech, Dr. Marques served as the National Ruminant Nutrition Technical Consultant at Elanco Animal Health – Brazil (2018-2020) and at Montana State University as an Assistant Professor of Ruminant Nutrition (2020-2023). His research program has focused on management strategies that improve the efficiency of beef production systems in the U.S. and worldwide.
