Jessica Keane

Ph.D. Student

I am a PhD student under Dr. Alan Ealy studying the impacts of antioxidants on the in vitro production of bovine embryos. I was raised with both of my parents serving in the Air Force that allowed me to move throughout the Midwest every few years. After graduating high school in Nebraska, I received my B.S. at Kansas State University and my M.S. at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln studying pubertal attainment in beef heifers under Dr. Andrea Cupp. While I have a passion for agriculture, I was unable to get experience in the livestock industry until my bachelor's. However, I have always had a passion for animals and was able to obtain exotic animal handing experience at the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium working at the Madagascar Expedition Center and Center for Conservation and Research Center. My passion has been focused on educating and training students in animal reproduction and helping them obtain experiences working with cattle.
