Ryan Wright

I am originally from New York state and completed my bachelor's degree in Animal Science at SUNY Cobleskill. I began my Ph.D. at Virginia Tech the following year, with the goal of working in ruminant nutrition.

My research with Dr. Robin White focuses on the application of precision agriculture technologies across ruminant systems. This includes projects at the biological, animal, and environmental levels, and involves a number of novel sensor systems. The introduction of precision technologies into traditional systems provides unique opportunities for individualized, need-based feeding of ruminant species, thus creating more production efficient animals.
