Mingsi is a Ph.D. student majoring in Genetics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology at the Department of Dairy Science. In Dr. Rebecca Cockrum ‘s lab. She is working on multiple projects including automatically monitoring calf growth with a depth camera, exploring calf digestive tract microbes via metagenomic/metatranscriptomic, predicting heifer’s weaning age and forecasting calf diarrhea during the incubation period using machine learning models.
