Abigayle Pollock
Ph.D. Student
- Reproductive Physiology
I am currently a Ph.D. student studying under Dr. Alan Ealy. My research focus is understanding the role of interleukin 6 in early embryonic development in cattle. My passion for the cattle industry began on my family’s small cow/calf operation in Taft, Tennessee. Growing up, my sister and I were heavily involved in the 4-H and FFA livestock programs. I received my bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in May 2020. Following my undergraduate career, I remained at UT Knoxville to serve as the livestock judging coach while completing a master’s degree in animal science. In my free time, I enjoy judging livestock shows across the southeast and spending time with friends and family.
