  • Reproductive Physiology

Bridget Wigner grew up in Richmond, VA. During high school, she began working as a veterinary assistant at a small animal clinic that offered reproductive services. This opportunity sparked her interest in animal science as well as theriogenology, and heavily influenced her decision to attend Virginia Tech’s Animal and Poultry Science program. During her undergraduate education, she gained experience and interest in large animal medicine through working at the Copenhaver Sheep Center and participating in three research projects under Dr. Jamie Stewart at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She earned her B.S. in Animal and Poultry Sciences from Virginia Tech in 2024.
