I grew up in Roxbury, New Jersey, and earned my undergraduate degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences from Virginia Tech in 2023. As an undergraduate, I worked in Dr. El-Kadi’s laboratory, where I discovered a passion for research. I began my master’s studies later that year under Dr. El-Kadi, focusing on monogastric animal nutritional physiology, and successfully defended my thesis, “The Association between Hepatic Steatosis and Glucose Metabolic Dysfunction,” in 2025.

I am now pursuing a Ph.D. under Dr. El-Kadi, with research centered on swine nutrition, specifically investigating the role of medium-chain fatty acids in regulating key physiological processes.
