My name is Rebecca Shields. I grew up in rural Virginia in a small town called Dry Fork, VA. I graduated from Virginia Tech in May 2025, receiving my B.S. in Biology. I am hoping to attend vet school in the Fall of 2026. I plan to use the knowledge I have gained from my research experience here at Virginia Tech to further improve my knowledge of real world veterinary medicine. I am currently pursuing my non-thesis master's degree under the direction of Dr. Robin White, specializing in equine nutrition.
