- Reproductive Physiology
I am currently a Ph.D. student student studying under Dr. Alan Ealy. I grew up in the small, rural town of Eastbernstadt, KY. I developed a passion for agriculture early in life by helping my grandfather raise bottle calves. In high school, I became very involved with FFA and decided to pursue a B.S. in animal science at the University of Kentucky.
Following graduation in 2023, I stayed at the University of Kentucky to pursue a M.S. with a focus on beef cattle reproduction and fescue toxicosis.During my time at UK, I was fortunate to gain both industry and research experience by working on a commercial and seedstock ranch in Colorado, a local stocker, commercial, and seedstock operation in Lexington, and the UK Beef Research Unit. I also had the opportunity to serve as Beef Extension Coordinator throughout my M.S. program.
I am passionate about improving beef cattle production, but in my spare time I enjoy hunting, fishing, watching baseball, and spending time with friends and family.
