I grew up in Lake City, Minnesota and studied Animal Science with a focus on dairy production at the University of Minnesota. I grew up on my family's dairy farm where we raise Jerseys and Holstein cows, with an emphasis on type and show appearance for exhibition at local, state, and national shows. Under the guidance of Dr. White, my graduate research will center on ruminant nutrition with projects including nitrogen mitigation strategies for dairy farms and AI collar technologies to support dairy cow management.
