- Dairy Management
I am from Mount Rainier, Maryland, a suburb of Washington DC and I have always been passionate about helping animals. In my senior year of high school, I interned at the Smithsonian National Zoo, which is where my love for research originates. I conducted a research project on striped skunk activity levels and now I do research with dairy cows.
I earned my undergraduate degree in dairy science from Virginia Tech in 2021. After graduating, I worked under Dr. Joan Lunney at the USDA's Agricultural Research Service. In the fall of 2022, I started my Ph.D. program under Dr. Katharine Knowlton. I am working on developing biosensors for the dairy industry that can help detect different diseases, metabolites, and antibiotic residue
