Mautushi Das

Currently I am pursuing a Ph.D. Degree, at Virginia Tech. Working as a Graduate Research Assistant in Dr. James Chens Laboratory in the School of Animal Sciences. I have a passion for data, which feels like solving a puzzle where every detail matters.

Having completed my Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering my professional journey has revolved around machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision and data analysis with a focus on advancing the field of animal sciences. This experience has reinforced my belief that my skills, dedication and genuine love for analyzing data can make an impact, in this field.

My doctoral research primarily revolves around developing approaches to analyze data. This involves creating software that utilizes these technologies to monitor and predict livestock behaviors efficiently and accurately.
